SCELTA LA FORMAZIONE PER IL GIRO ROSA ICCREA 2019

Il Team Manager Dario Rossino ha deciso la line-up che parteciperà alla 30° edizione del Giro d’Italia femminile Internazionale – Giro Rosa Iccrea, in programma da venerdì 5 a domenica 14 luglio e valido per l’UCI Women’s World Tour: le russe Anna Potokina, Aleksandra Goncharova (nuova campionessa nazionale) e Kseniia Dobrynina saranno al via insieme alla ucraina Yevgeniya Vysotska, all’italiana Francesca Cauz (al debutto internazionale con la squadra piemontese) e la giovane ceca Marketa Hajkova, al primo anno nella categoria Elite.

Sarà proprio il Team Servetto – Piumate – Beltrami TSA l’unica squadra a correre le prime tappe sulle “strade di casa” del Piemonte: si parte infatti con una cronosquadre vallonata da Cassano Spinola a Castellania Coppi, nell’Alessandrino, per celebrare i 100 anni dalla nascita del Campionissimo Fausto Coppi. Si andrà poi nel torinese per una frazione di media montagna a Viù, e infine a Biella, dove le atlete affronteranno il primo arrivo in quota, a Piedicavallo. Il trasferimento è poi in Lombardia, inizialmente in Brianza dove si affronterà la Lissone – Carate su un tracciato collinare e infine la due giorni in Valtellina, in cui vedremo le atlete salire le rampe del mitico Passo Gavia e successivamente affrontare la cronoscalata da Chiuro a Teglio. 
Altimetria da Classica del Nord è quella che le ragazze troveranno alla quartultima tappa, da Cornedo Vicentino a San Giorgio di Perlena/Fara Vicentino, con numerosi strappi in successione. La Vittorio Veneto – Maniago anticipa il gran finale friulano, che prevede il duro arrivo in quota a Malga Montasio e infine la San Vito al Tagliamento – Udine, che assegnerà la vittoria finale.

“Siamo pronti per il Giro Rosa Iccrea” – afferma il Team Manager Dario Rossino – “Abbiamo il morale alto grazie all’ottimo campionato nazionale russo, da cui siamo usciti con tre medaglie nelle due discipline, e siamo onorati di avere le prime tre tappe praticamente a casa nostra in Piemonte. Daremo sicuramente il massimo fino alla fine del Giro, che è la gara più prestigiosa al mondo.”.

The Team Manager Dario Rossino has selected the six riders who will participate at the 30th edition of the Giro d’Italia Femminile Internazionale – Giro Rosa Iccrea, from Friday 5th to Sunday 14th July and valid for the Women’s World Tour: the Russians Anna Potokina, Aleksandra Goncharova (New National Champion) and Kseniaa Dobrynina will start with the Ukrainian Yevgeniya Vysotska, the Italian Francesca Cauz (at her debut with the Team Servetto – Piumate – Beltrami TSA) and the young Czech Marketa Hajkova, at her first year in the Elite Category.

The Team Servetto – Piumate – Beltrami TSA will be the only one who will race the first three stage on the homeland roads of Piedmont. The race starts in fact with a hilly Team Time Trial from Cassano Spinola to Castellania Coppi, to celebrate the 100 years since the birth of the “Campionissimo”  Fausto Coppi. The stage 2 will be of medium mountain around Viù, then near Biella the athletes will climb to the first uphill finish of the race in Piedicavallo for the Stage 3. The Giro moves to Lombardy, first in Brianza for the Lissone – Carate stage, then in Valtellina for two days: The mythical Gavia then the Uphill Time Trial from Chiuro to Teglio are in the menu.
An altimetry which looks alike a Northern Classic is at the stage 7, from Cornedo Vicentino to San Giorgio di Perlena/Fara Vicentino, with a lot of short climbs. The Vittorio Veneto – Maniago anticipates the big final in Friuli, where there will be the finish on the very hard climb of Malga Montasio and the San Vito al Tagliamento – Udine, which will assign the overall win.

We will give our best until the end of the race, which is the most important in the world.”
