Partita nelle retrovie, Sara è stata protagonista di una rimonta incredibile che l’ha portata a sfiorare la Top Five mondiale, a 1’40” dalla medaglia d’oro Evie Richards (Gran Bretagna). Completano il podio la olandese Ceylin Del Carmen Alvarado e l’austriaca Nadja Heigl.

SARA CASASOLA 6TH AT THE CYCLOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN VALKENBURG
Extraordinary performance by the 18-year old from Friuli at the World Championships in Limbourg, Netherlands: Sara Casasola ended the Under 23 Women race as 6th, resulting the best Italian rider of the day. This result confirms the great sport qualities of the athlete from San Daniele del Friuli, newcomer of the Team Servetto-Stradalli-Alurecycling for the 2018 road season, the youngest rider of her race today.
Sara started in the rear of the group but she could come back in the first positions, fighting for the Top 5 of the World Championships, ending with 1’40” from the gold medal Evie Richards (Great Britain). The Dutch Ceylin Del Carmen Alvarado and the Austrian Nadja Heigl completed the podium.
