The talented 18-yeard-old cyclist from San Daniele del Friuli, who will race on road for the Servetto Stradalli Alurecycling in 2018, received the call of the Italian Cyclocross National Coach Fausto Scotti to race the World Championships next weekend in Valkenburg (Holland), after being part of the Italian National Team last week in Hoogerheide at the Cyclocross World Cup.
Sara Casasola is considered as one of the most talented cyclists of her category, especially in off-road (Cross Country and Cyclocross). She obtained 5 victories in 2017, included the first stage of the Cyclocross Giro d’Italia in Numana (Ancona).
The declarations of the Team Manager Dario Rossino: “Her talent is incredible and she deserves to race the World Championships. It’s a true pride for her and for the whole team. We will support, watch and shout for her and watch the race on tv.”
The Women races in Valkenburg will take place on Saturday, 3rd February.
